BENEFITS OF WORKING TOGETHER:
Twice a year I hold music workshops for all my students. This is usually a time for everyone to work together and showcase their skills and what they've learned throughout the year! We do things such as musical games, fun quizzes, making instruments out of household finds, and an exciting music contest at the end. The workshops also give the students the opportunity to play the songs they've been working on, and get feedback and support from their peers. Performing in a smaller setting, such as a workshop, also gives the students a chance to prepare for their performance in a larger setting, such as a recital.
Children who work together are awarded great benefits that showcase in other areas, such as at school and at home. When children learn to work in teams it can help develop communication and social skills. And since music helps to ignite all of these areas, it is the perfect tool! Not to mention, super fun!
